Superb Victorian Side or Pier Cabinet

19th century
Description

A superior quality Victorian walnut and burr walnut pier cabinet. The burr walnut top with rounded corners, gilt brass beading and inlaid cushion moulded frieze. The front stiles with attractive inlaid and turned applied columns. The single door with boxwood line inlay and panelled centre with further line inlay and rope twist style brass beading and escutcheon with working lock and key. The whole standing on an inlaid and shaped plinth with rounded corners and cross grain moulding, the interior with the original but well worn red velvet lining. In very good original condition, cleaned and waxed.

Sizes - Max width 33.5'' / 85cm. Depth 14'' / 36cm. Height 42'' / 107cm. Delivery to most of mainland U.K. £50.
