Antique French Style Walnut & Marquetry Marble Top Cabinet

1920 - 1940
Description

This top quality antique French style marble top cabinet has loads of fine features, so please enlarge all the images. It's serpentine fronted, with a drawer to the top & two doors below & shelves inside. The drawer, doors & sides are burr walnut, kingwood, plus some other inlays. The bulging central oval panels on the doors have stunning floral marquetry of many exotic woods & this pattern is repeated on the sides, plus more on the drawer. There are well cast gilt bronze mounts all over this cabinet & no expense was spared in making this piece. It's in good condition throughout & I would date it to around the 1930's period. The marble is also in perfect condition & lifts off separately.

Depth - 17", 43 cm

Height - 43", 109 cm
