Description

A fine C19th Black Forest Carved Chamois Head, the finely, naturistically carved head tilted in trian aspect with real horns, painted eyes and white blaze on his nose, mounted on a carved plaque simulating branches and flowers with a central shield below; the reverse with cut out hanging slot. A good colour with a rich patination. Carved in Linden wood.
