Good Early 19th Century Inlaid Tea Caddy

Description

An unusual and very good quality early 19th century cube-shaped TEA CADDY, the top and front both inlaid with PAIRS of oval panels of marquetry conch shells.

The front, sides and the back area are all crossbanded with tulipwood and inlaid with chequer stringing, The interior retains its good inner lid which matches the inlay and veneers to the underside of the main lid. A good and impressive tea caddy.
