Pretty "Castle-top" Tunbridge-ware Glove Box

Description

A charming mid-19th century Tunbridge-ware GLOVE or ODDMENTS BOX in superb condition.

The domed lid is finely marquetry inlaid with a scene of Eridge Castle set within a satinwood and rosewood background and surrounded by a parquetry band of flowers etc. A similar wider band can be found to all four sides, and the inside retains its original red silk lining.
