The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is signed AWW, Waltham, USA and the serial number dates it back to 1928. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both case backs for Birmingham 1929. The movements would have been imported from America to be cased and subsequently retailed within the UK. The case has a small indentation to the back and a little gentle unevenness but otherwise the condition is good for a 1920s piece.
The watch glass is in good condition.
The white enamel signed dial is in beautiful condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
