Antique Silver Galonne Case Pocket Watch and Chain

Antique silver galonne cased pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a key-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover and is engraved with details of the movement.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver with rose gold wash detail … there are Swiss hallmarks inside both of the back covers. There is a little rubbing to the gold wash and a slight indentation to the case back but overall the condition is good with nice crisp engine turned detail to the case back.

The watch glass is in good condition with just very minor marks.

The enamel dial is in good condition and the painted numbers are very elegant. There are also outer minute markers. The minute hand is a later replacement.

The watch comes with a rose gold plated chain which sits very nicely with the watch. It measures 31cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
