The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is stamped Ths Russell & Son, Swiss Made so it is a movement that Thomas Russell would have imported, along with the case from America, for assembling and subsequent retail in Liverpool.

The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a Masonic related inscription dated 1922. There are some scratches to the cover.
The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is rolled gold and it was originally ‘guaranteed to wear 10 years’. Unusually the case is nicely detailed around the edge. The case has the odd short scratch but overall is very acceptable.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. There is a signed white enamel dial which is in very nice condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. The plastic lens is in good condition.
