A Good Mahogany George III Period Antique Secretaire Bookcase

Description

A good mahogany George III Period antique secretaire bookcase. The upper section with a moulded cornice above twin astragal glazed doors enclosing adjustable mahogany shelves. The lower section with a secretaire top drawer opening to reveal a baize lined writing surface, six satinwood drawers and pigeon holes. Having a further three rectangular mahogany and cedar lined drawers, each veneered in beautifully figured mahogany and retaining their original stamped oval brass back plate handles. Supported on shaped bracket feet. English circa 1780-1800

Dimensions: 84" High x 36" wide x 18" deep

Condition: This bookcase is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
