English Regency Jewellery Box in the Form of a Sideboard C.1820

Description

A real stunner of a jewellery box dating to the Regency period, c.1820. The box is in the form of a Sideboard made from Mahogany and panels inlaid with flamed Mahogany and Burr Elm framed with Ebony stringing and diamond shaped Ebony escutcheons.

The top section (complete with working lock and key) opens to reveal a single long padded ring holder which would accommodate a good dozen or so rings. The interior has been beautifully and professionally re-lined . The main lid opens (again with working key) to reveal a fully fitted box with two removable trays to the sides with further storage below.

Beautiful quality and condition measuring 14 1/2" x 6 1/4" x 6 1/2" tall.
