Pair of Swedish Biedermeier Satin Birch Armchairs

Description

Very stylish pair of antique Swedish Biedermeier armchairs in satin birch with newly re-upholstered seats. These chairs have Trafalgar backs, scroll over arms, sabre legs & subtle ebonised features. They are in good condition, having been restored & polished. I would date them to around the 1880-90's period, although they may be older than that. The seats are covered in a cream linen fabric, with double piping & these chairs have generous proportions. One of the chairs has had damage on the arms, which has been restored. I will take another look at these before they go out & get my restorer to double check them & restore them again if he doesn't think they have been done properly.

Seat Height - 18", 46 cm
