Description

A beautiful French 19th Century Shell Chair having an excellent profile and well proportioned. The chair retaining all of the original water gilding , the shell back flanked by Giltwood scrolled carved sides of which are decorated with acanthus leaves. raised on fluted gilt legs and original castors. The chair retains the original silk velvet with original inners and sprung seat. The silk velvet upholstery is worn and could do with a good clean or new top coat (no tears or repairs). The chair itself is in excellent sturdy condition with a firm seat and back.

Dimensions: Height: 26 1/2 Inches (67.5cm), Width: 30 Inches (76cm)
