The beautifully figured rosewood case inlaid throughout with equisite brass, bone and pewter inlays, surmounted with the original wonderfully carved rosewood 3 part pediment with a turned finial to the base moulding.

The two piece enamelled dial with Roman numerals and finely cast pie crust bezel, signed to the centre W Schonberger in Wien.
The fully restored eight day duration Grande Sonnerie triple train movement of the highest quality striking on two blued steel curled gongs, with deadbeat escapement and strike silent facility.

Polished brass cased weights, with ornate spoked pulleys, polished brass bob pendulum (front and back) with wooden rod.
Finely fretted blued steel hands.
