Antique English Silver Pocket Watch, Chain and Fob

An English antique silver pocket watch, chain and fob.

The watch has a key-winding movement, stamped Warranted English Lever, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. A winding key is included with the watch. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the back covers for Birmingham 1894 with a maker’s mark for a maker’s mark for the Birmingham and Hatton Garden based watch maker William Ehrhardt. The case is in good condition for such an early piece with just a couple of fairly minor indentations to the back.

The plastic lens is in good order.

The main face of the white enamel dial is in good condition … there are some chips around the outer edge but these are mostly covered by the bezel.

The watch comes on a Victorian silver watch chain with fob … the chain measures 35cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
