A Good Flame Mahogany Victorian Period Antique Pedestal Desk

Description

A good flame mahogany Victorian Period antique pedestal desk. Having a rectangular top veneered in flame mahogany and with a worn honey coloured leather writing surface having gilt tooled detail and a moulded mahogany edge. With an arrangement of nine rectangular mahogany lined drawers each retaining their original turned mahogany drawer pulls and having traces of the original blue rice paper applied to the drawer bottoms. With mahogany flame veneered sides and mahogany veneered back, the whole supported on a mahogany plinth with inset castors. English circa 1860-1870

Dimensions: 60" wide x 29" deep x 29" high (knee hole 25" wide x 23" high)

Condition: This desk is in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed. One old repair to the back left hand corner.
