An important antique English large regency 19th century gilt wood mirror. The whole carved in solid lime wood and pine with 90% original water gilding in 24ct gold leaf as you would expect from a mirror of this quality. Retaining its original mercury backed mirror plate the frame centred by a finely carved eagle and flanked by carved floral rosettes and a pair of Ho-ho birds. This antique Georgian Geo IV/William IV gilt over mantle mirror is truly spectacular and would grace any home. Initialled and dated. Measures 68.5”w x 92”h x 5”d. Excellent condition
