Cheshire Farmhouse Dresser Base. C.1810.

Description

Large early 19th.c. oak Cheshire farmhouse dresser base c.1810. Just over seven feet long with a two plank counter with deep moulded edge over 8 drawers of graduated depth, arranged around a small centre cupboard fitted with shelves. Typical Welsh/Cheshire borders detail in the reeded quarter columns, mahogany crossbanding, shell motif inlays and more traditional arched fielded panel doors and bracket feet. Repairs to the top and one replacement knob, otherwise original through. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Dimensions: width 85", depth 22", height 35".
