Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.

A good quality brass item, the lantern has lovely copper screws around the top in early Art Nouveau style, (see photo 4) and it still has the original wood handle. There are two side wall fittings for easy attachment.

A label was put on the back by our electrician mentioning that it probably isn't suitable for outside use due to it's age, but it would be ok in a porch. We have made no attempt to polish it, but it could be brought back to a bright brass colour with a touch of brass polish. Some of our customers prefer items to be left alone.

The lantern measures 44cm in height, without the length of the handle taken into account; and 20.5cm across for the main body of the light and 25.5cm including the width of the wall attachments.
It has MADE IN ENGLAND stamped on the back.
The light can be viewed in Surrey, postage and packing within the UK mainland only has been included in the price.
