Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The four rectangular bevelled glass doors opening to reveal adjustable mahogany shelves with burr walnut edgings. The central section having four raised fluted pilasters with Corinthian ormolu capitols. The whole supported on a breakfront burr walnut veneered plinth and having Hobbs & Co locks throughout. The doors and panels having purple heart and satinwood banding throughout. Although un-marked the quality of this cabinet is superb and must have been made by one of the finest Victorian cabinet makers. English circa 1860-1870
