A Superb Quality Burr Walnut Victorian Period Antique Pedestal Desk

Description

A Superb Quality burr walnut Victorian Period antique pedestal desk. The rectangular top with an inset green gilt and blind tooled writing surface and veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with a walnut moulded edge. Featuring a central rectangular frieze drawer above the knee hole, flanked by a further four drawers to each pedestal, each with fine quality mahogany drawer linings, burr walnut drawer fronts, turned walnut drawer pulls, brass escutcheons and working locks and key. With burr walnut ends and back, the whole raised on a burr walnut veneered plinth with inset brass and porcelain castors. English circa 1880

Dimensions: 48" wide x 28" deep x 29" high (knee hole 24" high x 20" wide)

Condition: This desk is in beautiful condition, re-polished in our workshops
