Pair of Campaign Bookshelves C.1880.

Description

Rare pair of late 19th.c. two tier hanging brass and mahogany campaign bookshelves c.1880. Designed to be fully demountable to pack away flat into an officer’s luggage chest they feature two solid mahogany shelves with moulded edge at the front and sides supported on threaded brass columns. Original finials, feet and hanging hoops. Excellent condition, boards have been cleaned and polished in our workshops, the brass retains its original gilt finish.

Dimensions: width 39", depth 7", height 12".
