Large Carved Armchair with Carved Dogs

19th century
Description

A large carved walnut armchair, with the arms terminating in wonderfully modeled carved dogs in repose. Actually look to be spaniels or possibly setters. To the top of the chair is a carved basket of fruit flanked by carved dolphins, a little wacky but beautifully carved and a great colour. the chair is upholstered in a needlepoint with brass studs. All in excellent condition, with no breaks or wobbles. Wonderful for your shooting lodge or just a keen dog lover! Measuring 52" high by 33" deep by 29" wide.
