Description

Lovely silver inkstand with double cut glass inkwells with hallmarked silver tops and lids and a grooved pen rest. The base is mounted on a thin sheet of ebonised wood and the 4 splayed feet are also hallmarked silver. Pretty border of bellflowers runs around the edge of the stand and inkwell lids. Marks for London 1919, maker Frederik Haberling.

It measures 10 1/4" long by 7 1/2" wide and 3" high. Weight without the wells (but with the wood) 533g. Condition is excellent with no dents or damage bar a tiny smoothed nick to one of the wells. Light surface wear and the ebonised finish has faded slightly along some of the edges.
