A Cuban Mahogany George III Period Antique Bureau

Description

A Cuban Mahogany George III Period antique bureau. The rectangular cuban mahogany top, above a sloping fall front which opens to reveal a well fitted interior with pigeon holes, drawers and a central cupboard with shell inlaid paterae, flanked by twin rectangular "secret" compartments. The fall front having a replacement baize lined writing surface above an arrangement of two short over three long rectangular ash lined drawers retaining their original brass swan neck handles. Supported on ogee shaped bracket feet. English circa 1780-1800

Dimensions: 48" wide x 23" deep x 42" high

Condition: This bureau is in excellent condition, a wonderful colour and patination. Replacement baize lining and tips to the original ogee bracket feet.
