Description

An impressive burr walnut & walnut 19th Century antique wellington chest. The raised pierced fretwork walnut gallery above the solid rectangular walnut top. The front with an arrangement of six rectangular mahogany lined drawers each with finely cast brass handles with carved moulded edges and veneered in figured burr walnut. The drawers flanked by two finely carved burr walnut veneered pilasters, with the right hand one being hinged and acting as the "Wellington" locking mechanism. The ends in panelled walnut and supported on a walnut plinth. French in the English style circa 1880

Dimensions: 63" high x 38" wide x 22.5" deep

Condition: This chest is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
