Description

Very nice 19th century rosewood wall bracket for a clock or other display item. Beautifully carved side supports with inset flowers and a central panel of fishscales with carved decorative shapes below. Lots of small decorative carved detailing around the edges. Much of the detail is highlighted with gilding and there is a small carved rim around the top and some gilt metal applied bands to the supports. I have taken many photos to show the fine details.

It measures 18" wide, 12" deep and 11 1/2" high. Condition is very good but with expected surface signs of age and use. There are 2 holes through the back which must have been linked to its fixing in a previous life and there is a small chunk missing from the rear at one side.
