Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Victorian double heart serving dish is a late 19th-century table accessory featuring two heart-shaped glass or crystal receptacles held within a single silver or silver-plated metal frame. Popular around 1880, these items were used during formal meals to serve bonbons, sweetmeats, or condiments.

Late Victorian serving stands were traditionally crafted using heavy lead cut glass or crystal paired with electroplated nickel silver (EPNS) or sterling silver frames. The glass featured deeply cut geometric patterns, while the metal stands often incorporated decorative loops, handles, and cast feet.

Authentic Victorian cut glass displays hand-cut sharp facets rather than smooth molded edges, creating distinct light refraction. Metal components typically carry makers marks or EPNS stamps indicating electroplating from the era, alongside signs of hand-fitted joinery.

In modern spaces, these twin dishes function as elegant vanity trays for jewellery on a bedroom dresser, decorative trinket holders on a sideboard, or functional serving pieces for small wrapped confectioneries on a dining display.

Wash the glass inserts by hand using warm water and mild dish liquid, avoiding sudden temperature changes. Clean the silver-plated stand using a soft silver polishing cloth, avoiding harsh abrasive cleaners that could wear through the thin silver plating.
