J.S Ford Johnson & Co was an American furniture manufacturer in the late 19th and early 20th century. was founded by John Sherlock Ford and Henry W. Johnson in Columbus, Ohio in 1867 as a chair manufacturing company. In 1868 the company relocated their factory to Michigan City, Indiana.
They became known as J. S. Ford, Johnson & Company.

Solid and sturdy. General wear and marks commensurate with age. It has an old stain to some of the seat rail and lower sections which has rubbed off in parts.
