Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The chairs have been sympathetically restored, and are now very sound and usable
The high backs and legs are in Oak with a solid centre splat, the seats and the arm rest are in Elm
It is rare to get such a large set of chairs as old as these and they have a wonderful natural patina
The chairs are 36.5” high at the back (the carvers are 39”), they are 19” wide, (the carvers are 22” wide) and they have an 18” seat height
