Description

Lovely Rene Lalique opalescent glass bowl in the Poissons pattern with fish curving around the centre with air bubbles. The design dates from 1921, most larger bowls date from 1930. This is a little smaller and deeper so may be an earlier one. The opalescence displays best against a dark background so I have taken a photo against a window and against white to show how it is on its own.

It measures 21cm wide and 8cm high. Condition is excellent with no damage and light surface wear. "R Lalique" is raised on the inner base but is tricky to photograph so I have played with the contrast controls on this photo to make it clearer.
