The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The The lid screws on and both pieces are hallmarked for London 1894 and maker's mark for Horace Woodward & Co.

It measures 5 1/2" high and 2" wide. It weighs 115.7g/3.72 troy ounce. Condition is excellent with only the very lightest of bruises to the wall of the lid and another to the very top. Marks are lovely and clear on the base, a little rubbed on the lid but still legible.
