A lovely example of a solid sterling silver miniature playing card case or box.
Clearly hallmarked inside the lid for Birmingham 1920 with the maker''s mark for S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd.
Plain in design, with a simple ruffle of silver to lift the lid. The hinge is good and tight. The case is gilded inside - there are scratches to the gilding, but overall the silver is in very good condition and the base comes complete with two (new) packs of cards.
