Description

Strong looking pair of antique Swedish armchairs with satin birch frames, newly re-upholstered in a linen fabric. The frames are lovely quality & the wood has a strong grain showing. They have scroll over arms, carving on the fronts, plus claw & ball feet. I would date them to around the 1910-20's period & they have just been polished. These chairs have generous proportions & are very comfortable. I believe the Swedish people refer to this wood as 'tiger birch' & you can see why when you look at the very strong light & dark grain in the wood.
