Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
There is a concealed shaped drawer in the middle & below that are two panelled cupboards with a single shelf. The bottom section is deeper than the top, so there is plenty of storage there. This bookcase has a nice chunky cornice, original corbels on the front of the sides & it sits on a plinth base. It also has locks & a key. I would date it to around the 1860-80's period & it separates into two sections.
