Antique ¾ Plate Silver Pocket Watch, 1896

Description

Antique ¾ plate silver pocket watch, 1896.

The watch has a ¾ plate stem-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes or so over 24 hours. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for Chester 1896 inside both of the case backs. The case is in good condition with just a little unevenness to the back.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The enamel dial is in lovely condition. The hands are initially set by way of the pin set mechanism.
