English Antler Horn & Sterling Silver Magnifying Glass - 1917

Description

A large example, measuring 10 1/4" in length with a glass diameter measuring 4".

The antler horn handle is finished with a solid or sterling silver terminal, both sides with a fluted design, both this and the sterling silver ferrule are hallmarked for Sheffield 1917.

The nickel framed glass is of course new, unmarked but probably by Hilkinson, making it very usable piece, without damage, clear and with a good magnification.

A superb, grand and impressive desk accessory in excellent condition.
