Description

Mid 19th.c mahogany two door chiffonier sideboard c1840. Despite the obvious wear to the top it remains a very handsome piece of furniture with the front boasting flame mahogany veneers of really exceptionally good colour and grain. Solid mahogany top with cross banded edge over a single long drawer and a two door cupboard fitted with two adjustable shelves. Shaped flame mahogany drawer front with carved acanthus leaf detail at the sides. Matched veneered door panels with a raised moulding and cross banded edge. Solid mahogany sides and drawer linings. Raised on turned bun feet. Damage and repairs to the top (where it probably once had an upstand or shelf on supports fitted). Otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Cupboard key supplied.
