Description

Fabulous Georgian Solid Silver 6 slice toast rack with double hoop design and raised oval disc carry handle. The rectangular frame has a band of silver running down the centre and set on 4 bun feet. Hallmarked for London 1800, maker's initials I think are S.H. struck upside down for Solomon Hougham (there are other examples of this occurrence I have found for this maker and the initials are not struck straight in line with the other marks).

It measures 5 7/8" long, 4 3/8" wide and 4 1/8" high. It weighs 5.9 troy ounces (184g). Condition is very good with no damage or dents. There are some small initials engraved to the carry handle on one side.
