Art Deco Malachite Glass 4 Piece Dressing Set Hoffman-schlevogt Czech

Superb Art Deco 1930s dressing set by Hoffman-Schlevogt with malachite glass panels set in ornate gilt metal mounts. The glass is beautifully made with clear smooth sections with colour variations and wells just like the stone, and decorated with carved effect putti playing musical instruments surrounded by flowers and foliage. The mirror has bevelled glass and the handles and mounts are really beautiful in their detail and texture. The set comprises long handled mirror, long handled hair brush, oval clothes brush and trinket box.

Measurements: the mirror is 14 1/4" long by 6 1/4". Hairbrush is 11" by 3". Clothes brush is 6 1/2" by 2 3/8" and the box is 6" by 4 1/4" and 2" deep.

Condition is excellent with no damage bar 2 small bruises to the mirror glass at the very edge. The malachite glass is all in great condition, as are the mounts, just a very little rubbing in places and the brush bristles are also very good. There are a few marks to the underside of the box.
