The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
An applied clear glass branch with fluted finish with glass thorns is attached to the side with a 2 pronged end. The base is ornately scalloped with fine interlinking ribbed swags, all slightly irregular due to being hand made and it has a rough pontil to the base.

It measures 10" high, 6" across the branches and approx. 4 1/2" at the base. Condition is very good: the very tips of the clear branches have been slightly scuffed and there is a small rough 'seam' near the tip of the clear branch, original to the piece.
