Set of 8 Antique Burr Walnut Dining Chairs

1900 - 1920
Description

Magnificent set of 8 antique walnut dining chairs, including 2 carvers, dating from around the 1920-30 period & in excellent condition. They have just been French polished & the drop in seats re-upholstered in a cream linen fabric. These chairs are very much in the Queen Anne style. They have deep carvings on the tops & on the knees of the shaped legs. The central splats are burr walnut. These chairs have a lovely warm colour that is typical for walnut & they are fine quality. Please don't confuse them with the new imitations that are appearing everywhere.
