Description

Fabulous art nouveau Bohemian porcelain vase by Ernst Wahliss. Unglazed pale yellow blush finish with beautiful hand painted orange yellow poppies with raised outlines in gilding. Reticulated sections to the neck either side and ornate moulded handles and fluted shaped neck to the rim, all in a matt gold finish. Factory stamp mark to the base, c.1899-1918, and incised and painted model numbers.

It measures 32.5cm (12 3/4") high and 15cm (6") by 12.5cm (5") wide. Condition is excellent with no damage and minimal surface wear to the painting or gilding, just very light rubbing under the handles and a few raised points on the neck.
