Tall Painted Torchere or Plant Stand

1900 - 1920
Description

A magnificent tall painted torchere or stand dating from the early 20th century. The round top on acanthus carved tapered column and square base with lions paw feet. A really elegant piece in a painted finish and in good condition, would grace any room.

Construction/Wood:

Painted wood – probably pine.

Condition Report:

Solid and sturdy, with wear and marks commensurate with age. It appears to have been professionally re-painted at some point in its life.

Dimensions:

Height: 53 inches

Base: 11 x 11 inches

Top: 9 x 9 inches
