Description

Lovely pair of early 19th century Derby figures, model number 314, classed as "Seated Figures" or "Dresden Figures" when the factory started to take inspiration from Dresden style porcelain at the end of the 18th century.

A charming couple seated on throne like chairs, in full regency dress of fine ornate form, with finely detailed clothing and all decorated in bright enamels. Scrolled, rococo bases with naturalistic decoration and red mark to the base of one to date to c.1806. As superb set, ready and waiting for display.

They measure 6 1/4" high and 4"-5" wide. Condition is very good: 3 small areas of high quality professional restoration to the gentleman's left foot, right hand and the lady's right arm (please see the last photos for close ups). No current damage or losses, and very light surface wear.
