A Magnificent George I Style Chinoiserie Cabinet on Stand

1900 - 1920
Description

A magnificent George I style Chinoiserie cabinet on stand. The upper cabinet section is decorated in wonderful raised polychrome lacquers depicting oriental landscapes and having an engraved lock plate and hinges. The doors open to reveal a fitted interior containing ten mahogany lined drawers with traditional brass pear drop handles and again with wonderful raised lacquered detail. The stand elaborately carved in the Rococo style with entwined floral detail, shell carved knees and supported on bold cabriole supports with claw and ball feet. English in the George I Style circa 1920

Dimensions: 69" high x 50" wide at the base x 21" deep (cabinet 45" wide)

Condition: This cabinet on stand is in superb condition.
