Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It has a platinum case and 28 of the most exquisite European old cut diamonds which are deeper than modern day cut and are incredibly white, bright and crisp, the sparkle they generate is absolutely amazing being of F-G and VS quality. The total carat weight is approximately 3.5cts. It also has diamonds to the collars on the cord.

The dial is absolutely perfect with steel peacock blue hands, in superb condition. It also retains its original solid 18ct white gold clasp.
The case would certainly have been bespoke made and a premier movement fitted.

It comes complete with original fitted case.

It comes with a brand new quality black cordette strap and the watch fits a wrist size of up to 7 inches although we can reduce this for you if required. A longer strap can be fitted but this would mean it would not fit in its case.

The 16 jewel movement is an absolutely incredible - gold plated sparkling clean and in like new condition, this is a movement from the golden age of Swiss watchmaking during which Vertex were regarded as the best.

As you would expect from Vertex the watch is fully marked movement and the case is also marked platinum and has been fully tested.
This is truly an exceptional piece and would have been bespoke made for someone special, a rare find indeed.

Vertex are one of the most exclusive makers in the world during the 1930s and this watch certainly has that understated elegance which resonates class.
The watch case is large and measures 24mm in diameter not including the crown.

Overall this watch is simple stunning and was obviously extremely well cared for, it would certainly make a perfect gift for any lady especially when worn with that little black dress.
The watch has just been fully overhauled, restored and serviced and is guaranteed to be a genuine Vertex in all respects.

This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled by the Omega watch specialist Alan Williams FBHI, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then thoroughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultrasonic cleaning process.

The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed.

Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.
