Description

A large pair of antique cast iron garden urns by J. Jones, Bankside London, circa 1870. Of campana form, the square bases cast 'J. Jones 6 Bankside London'.

74cm high by 63cm diam

In good overall condition, one urn with two edge nibbles to the petal shaped border, later painted black.

NB: J.Jones were a manufacturer of general and horticultural cast ironwork including boilers and decorative garden ornaments. The advertisement is from a journal circa 1865.
