French Striking Carriage Clock by Margaine

Description

A good late 19th century French CARRIAGE CLOCK by the renowned maker: Francoise August MARGAINE and signed with his iconic "beehive" trademark on the backplate.

Fitted within its substantial brass "Corniche" case, with bevelled glass panels to all sides, the 8-day movement strikes hours and half-hours on a gong and retains its good original platform lever escapement. The clear white enamel dial is in mint condition, as are the original Breguetblued steel "moon" hands.

Perfect working order and guaranteed for at least two years.
