Fully Fitted Games Compendium with Various Games

Description

A very good mid-Victorian fully fitted GAMES COMPENDIUM complete with various games inside.

The box itself is of papier mache inlaid to the lid with an ebony and mother-of-pearl inlaid chess/draughts board. This lid opens to reveal the fitted interior with various games which include: red-and-white bone chessmen; boxwood and ebony draughts; mother-of-pearl inlaid cribbage board; pegs; dice and various interesting card games plus a pair of Japanese 'Shibayama' inlaid ivory and oriental hardwood Bezique markers.

Excellent condition: Measuremsnts (closed): 16ins x 12ins (40.5 x 30.5cms)
