French Carved Oak Double Bed, Marriage Bed

French Carved Oak Double Bed, a Marriage Bed in the Breton style

This is a superb piece French Artisan Carving, the head board has pictures of the couple in their later years and the foot board has another of them meeting in their youth, as an expression of hope for a long life together

There are large depictions of the Breton Wheels of life, and in this case they have backing of red Chenille

The bed is 47” high at the top, the interior size ( where the mattress and divan fit) is 54” x 76”
